As you mentioned, it's not worn for <I>kavod</I>, but for other reasons which do not apply to Shabbos at all (as opposed to the frock; even though the frock is not worn on Shabbos, there is still room to wear <I>bigdei kavod</I> on Shabbos).<BR/><BR/>Another important point is that in order to wear the frock on Yom Tov but not on Shabbos, it must be removed before <I>shkiyah</I> of day two. However, the kittel is generally removed right after Mussaf (which is hopefully well before <I>shkiyah</I>), so it's clear that it's not specifically being removed for Shabbos.<BR/><BR/>Just in case, when you make an <I>eiruv tavshilin</I>, have in mind that it does not cover your kittel so you do not fall into the realm of <I>safek</I>.<BR/>:-)Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
