The following banner has started appearing recently on many large Hebrew websites. I saw in the Maariv/NRG website. It even made it into the print newspaper, surprisingly it was in the Yisrael HaYom newspaper this morning. The Yisrael HaYom newspaper has been dubbed the "Bibi-ton", as it has always been very pro-Bibi.
The problem with the above flash banner (here it is just an image, but in its real format, it is a flash banner that flashes the words on the screen), is that it is not click-able going to any other website explaining the issue. It simply says "Bibi? I don't believe him."
As well, it is completely anonymous, not saying who is behind the campaign.
It turns out that not only is it nasty and unfair, as there is no way to respond to it, or even to know what it is talking about (it is obviously just trying to implant an idea in the readers head subliminally, as it keeps flashing on the screen), it is also illegal.
MK Mickey Eitan, who is really a super clean MK with complete integrity, has filed a complaint against the above ad. Eitan claims, based on info from various media outlets, that Tzipi Livni is behind the anonymous ads, which are illegal.
If Mickey Eitan is right, Mrs. Clean is still stuck in the sewer, and her hands are pretty dirty...
It can't be Livni.
ReplyDeleteThen the ad would have had to say "ma'a'mi'nah".
Anon,
ReplyDeleteMaybe that's why it's illegal.
:)
I saw this ad on a bus. Not subliminal, just confusing.
ReplyDeletethe print ads are not subliminal. the digital ones flash and are.
