Whether you agree with Prager's specific message that the only way to save America is by voting Republican or if you disagree with it, the general message about transmitting values is a great message and applies anywhere and everywhere - to Israel, to Judaism, or whatever culture and message you are trying to pass on...

prager "forgot" that the "leftist" soviet union red army liberated auschwitz, whoops, 6:20 into the video...
ReplyDeleteTzvee, it doesn't matter that it was the lefttist Soviet army, the point was that it was an army, not peace activists.
ReplyDeleteExcept for ending slavery, Fascism, Nazism and Communism, war has never solved anything.
Way to go Dennis!
tzvee actually you missed his point.
ReplyDeleteHe said "it is not peace activists who liberated Auschwitz, it is military people who liberated Auschwitz." And his underlying point was that when a country believes in its values, it puts military strength behind it.
The fact that the Soviet Union was part of the military effort against the Nazis only proves that it takes countries who are willing to go beyond "peace" efforts, to stand for their values.
(Whether the Soviet Union's complete value set is worthwhile, is a different discussion.)
