  1. Isnt Rafi's new style cool? It's like, "Choose Your Own Chumras" with which videos you want to watch.

  5. kulas, chaumras.. who cares? everybody does what they want and what is good for them. you wanna watch, watch. you dont want to watch, dont. nobody cares what you do and nobody knows what you do. It is between you and God and nobody else (except maybe your spouse).

  6. Rafi-send it to the Rav. See what he thinks.

  7. If it is on Rafi's blog, I am sure "the rav" knows about it. But, I am sure that he wouldn't watch it. He gets nervous if men and women enter the shul building through the same door.

  8. if scantily clad women is not tzniyusly inapprpopriate, then what is? only things with actual illicit behavior? it seems that you either got a little too involved in the internet or you became too desensitized at work. either way there is no way that you can find a halachic heter to look at these things. maybe a taayvodike heter (like the one i rely on) but not a halachic one.

  9. I hear you, but in my mind, "scantily clad women" is just the normal streets of the world, inappropriate as it might be. If you walk anywhere otuside of a frum neighborhood, ever, you see people dressed exactly as you see in the video.
Is ti ideal? of course not. we wish everyone would be sensitive to tzniyus issues and dress appropriately (not really, because of they did, what would we look at?? :-) ).

but what is in the video is not women in bikinis. It is women in street clothes, just getting them wet. and most of the video doesnt really show anything more inappropriate than regular street clothes.

  10. Rafi,
I have to agree with "Anonymous said...", you have been desensitized.
It's one thing to have to be on the streets, go to work etc. and you will see woman dressed that way. But it's something else to post it on your blog. Why do you, or any other of your readers, need to care about this?
Also, see Bava Basra 57b (quoting pasuk in Yeshayahu) that one who chooses to go on the road where he will see inappropriately dressed women (even if he averts his eyes) is considered a rasha. Pretty strong language, worth seeing it inside.
