It is being reported, by a news media rep in Bechadrei, that they found human bones when digging in RBS C today. The report included the fact that "forces" were on the way to begin protesting there. They don't have to go far, as many of the protesters at these situations are from RBS B, so they probably spent some time out in the hot sun today protesting the digging.
Since the area is being developed by Haredi people, I imagine one of two things will happen:
- Either they will implement halachically acceptable solutions that might be costly and cause the price of apartments to increase to compensate for the builders extra incurred costs.
- They will resolve the problem quietly, making the bones disappear as if they never existed, and building will go on.
It is probably already too late for solution #2 to work, as those who protest already know, though perhaps it is still possible, if they control to information properly. It is more likely that it might cause some delays, but will force them to go through the costly expense of halachic solutions. This will cause price increases, and might cause problems with sales. if they find just a small amount of bones, it might not be a problem. If they continue to find lots of bones, it could cause problems with the sales of RBS C. The neighborhood is being designed, mostly, for young haredi couples who need small and cheap apartments. if the apartments are no longer cheap, they wont be able to buy there.
they found bones in ramat hacramim - dont know how it was resolved though
ReplyDeletethey find bones all over. Much of jerusalem is built over bones. sometimes they implement halachic solutions, sometimes they do not.
ReplyDeletemust be those anti-charedi people that planted the bones there just to trick the charedi people into staying away. :)
ReplyDeleteI hope they find loads of bones. Then maybe some Haredi askanim might start trying to get the bone squad thugs under control.
ReplyDeletenah they'll just give to kupat hair and send their burka wives to the protest.
