Hey, Maybe The Royal Couple Will Convert!

A British artist has created a ketubah for the Royal couple.

Are they Jewish? No. So why do they need this ketubah? They don't. But, Hey! Maybe they will convert!

From Virtual Jerusalem:
A British artist has prepared a ketubah, or Jewish marriage contract, for Britain's Prince William and his fiancee, Kate Middleton.
Michael Horton, who has Israeli citizenship, designed the ketubah for the couple's April 29 wedding, according to The Associated Press. The language, in Hebrew and English, has been altered to be egalitarian and nonreligious. Neither the prince nor Middleton are Jewish.
The ketubah reads, in part, "May we remain committed to each other's physical and mental well-being, and to each other's emotional and spiritual growth."
Horton delivered the gift to the British ambassador to Israel in a ceremony Thursday in Ramat Gan.

  1. I think calling it a kettubah is a bit of a reach. Its a wedding document, (lots of cultures have them). And law requires the heir to the crown and his wife to be a member of a Protestant church.
