Jew or Not A Jew? |
Ladaat.net has a analyzed Middleton's family records, and has found on her mother's side of the family many Jewish names, leading them to conclude that there is a good chance that, even if she does not know it, Princess, and possibly future Queen of England, Kate Middleton might very well be Jewish.
I say we send some Chabadniks after her. Get her to start lighting candles and going to the Royal Mikveh. Maybe William will eventually convert. And then what? I don't know what having a Jewish Queen of England might do for us, but it probably cannot hurt too much.
I checked out some other websites, and there seems to be no definitive answer to the question "Is Kate Middleton Jewish?", but it seems almost definite that she has some Jewish ancestry.
Since she is now HRH (Her Royal Highness) she does not have a last name. She would just sign her name 'Catherine.' However, should she need to use a last name for some reason, she would use Cambridge, because as a wedding present HM the Queen made William into the Duke of Cambridge on his wedding day, and after the wedding his bride became Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge.
ReplyDeleteOf course if they were in Scotland they would use their Scottish title and in Northern Ireland their Irish one.
William's full title now is
His Royal Highness Prince William Arthur Philip Louis, Duke of Cambridge, Earl of Strathearn, Baron Carrickfergus, Royal Knight Companion of the Most Noble Order of the Garter.
She's not Jewish, I think you'll find one of the male Goldsmiths married out, hence the rumors.... same thing goes for Olivia Newton John who is somehow related, and Jemima Goldsmith....
ReplyDeleteNone of them are Jews.
>Maybe William will eventually convert.
ReplyDeleteAnd then he couldn't be king. Bummer.
1) I thought the royal family name is Windsor, as in "House of". I seem to recall reading an "What if" article years ago about what would happen to the lot of them if a republic was declared and it seemed that was the surname they'd get stuck with.
ReplyDelete2) We had a Jewish queen in Persia. There have even been Jewish archbishops and popes. Sometimes it's a good thing and sometimes it's not.
Oh William will eventually convert... to Islam once the majority of his subjects also have embraced it.
ReplyDeletehe should convert to Islam rather than Jewish like her mother did...Islam is better than Jewish
DeleteIslam is not better than Jewish, sorry you lose
DeleteIslam is not better than anything.
DeleteGarnel Ironheart: It's Mountbatten-Windsor.
ReplyDeleteif willy converts then he'll finally get the brit milah that his imma denied him.
ReplyDeleteThe family name is Windsor, its only Mountbatten-Windsor for the secondary branches of the family.
ReplyDeleteThe royal family does not have last names in the normal sense, as it has been said her full name at this point is "HRH Cathrine, Dutchess of Cambridge"
I assume when William gets back to the airforce his nametag will be changed to say "Cambridge"
You are incorrect, Zach.
ReplyDeleteIt's Mountbatten-Windsor as I said.

I get a kick out of her family's business, mail order, just 20th century peddlers...
ReplyDeleteThere is so much Jewish blood in Europe, above and below ground.
ReplyDeleteThere is so much Jewish blood in Europe, above and below ground.
ReplyDeleteand that's the truth of it all....us Israelites are all over the place, not all of us are lost to our heritage or identity, it's time we embrace our inheritance and live united once again.
DeleteThe Royal family has many German ancestors, so presumably do many of the noble English families. Jewish names means little.
ReplyDeleteAnd it's true, If the king were Jewish, he couldn't remain king as the monarch is also the head of the church of England.
No, she isn't.
ReplyDeleteTake a look at http://trees.ancestry.ca/tree/8226828/family?fpid=1295398495
Goldsmith and Myers can be Jewish names, but can also be non-Jewish English names, and her earliest known maternal ancestor was http://trees.ancestry.ca/tree/8226828/person/1697636555. I don't think that Yarm, Yorkshire had a big Jewish community in 1719.
Ok.
DeleteRingo Starr is Jewish, Paul is dead.

The Britsh royal family was imported from Germany and later renamed to look more domestic.
ReplyDeleteFamily name was Battenburg...
ReplyDeleteand changed to Montbatten in the run-up to World War I (against "the Hun")
Simon brings up a good point. Goldsmith can derive from an ancestor's occupation as such one who works with gold(her mother's family were poor miners). Meyer can refer to a person who held the role as a mayor or leader of a city and also as a tenant farmer. From other descriptions of her mother's family being poor, it is likely the name meyer derives from its usage denoting a tenant farmer. Gold mining wasn't a localized endeaver making it a common surname in a variety of cultures including the Hebrews, Germans and English. Furthermore, the usage of Goldsmith in lieu of the more ancestral German jewish Goldschmidt is used more often in North America not Britain.
ReplyDeleteShe has a few Jewish names in her family tree. A lot smoke if there is no fire in my opinion
DeleteShe has a lot of surnames common to Jews in her family tree and in my opinion that is too much smoke for there to be no fire.

ReplyDeleteIn Germany you can find plenty of people with the family name ROSENTHAL and they are not Jewish.
Here in Israel I know someone called ABRAMSON and the person is not Jewish, as her Christian mother married a Jewish guy.
A family name alone doesn't mean anything !
yes, though it is still possible she might have had jewish ancestry (though she doesnt it seems so it is moot)
ReplyDeleteThe Great Kate Middleton Scam…She and William are JEWS!
ReplyDeletehttp://endzog.wordpress.com/2012/04/16/the-great-kate-middleton-scam-shes-a-jew/
Hey -- her mother's mother's mother's last name was Temple. That must settle it, right?
ReplyDeleteJewish names?? 1. Most surnames touted as Jewish are rather names commonly adopted by Jews. 2. Goldsmith is not a Jewish name! It is a very Anglo-Saxon name. And indisputably so at the time Kate's ancestor lived.
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry maybe I'm missing something but what does it matter who is what religion as long as they love each other and live peaceful lives being good to others and that goes for everyone. Stop using religion as a badge of hatred just embrace the gift of being human.
ReplyDeleteShe can't become queen of England. There is no current English monarchy. The previous monarchy was abolished in 1707.
ReplyDeleteShe might become queen of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, although it's quite likely that won't exist if Scotland returns to being a sovereign state in the next 5/10 years.
yoshka was also jewish. so what? will we ever have anything from that?
ReplyDeleteI heard about she is Jewish but had to convert to Catholicism to married that Prince
ReplyDeleteIncorrect, she had to convert to ANGLICANISM as that is the official religion of the Uk and it's monarchy (hence Church of England)
