In case you were worried about the practical ramifications of the recently publicized psak of rav Elyashiv regarding the performing of a bris according to the sunset of Rabbeinu Tam, Kikar, the site that originally reported the psak, is now clarifying that since the psak was publicized someone went to Rav Elyashiv to clarify what he said and meant.
Rav Elyashiv said, supposedly, that he was asked about a specific case, and he paskened regarding that specific case alone. Nothing he said should be taken as a general rule for any other case or application.

. . . and that's what happens when people take everything at face value before checking out facts.

Reminds me of all the sheitel burnings that took place a few years ago . . .
i wonder, if they do a hatafas dam bris, does the shul skip tachanun that day? at least it wouldnt be a total loss...
