Crispy Shnitzel For Dummies


I actually saw the following recipe in a weekend Hebrew newspaper this Shabbos.

The recipe was for "crispy shnitzel".

The Recipe for Crispy Shnitzel

Ingredients: chicken shnitzel, as per how many servings are needed; raw egg, breadcrumbs, oil for frying.

Instructions:
  1. beat raw egg in a bowl
  2. pour bread crumbs in separate bowl
  3. dip chicken breast in egg then dip in bread crumbs
  4. fry chicken until golden
  5. serve hot and crispy. dont put in fridge, as it will make it lose the crispiness
Note: Do not change the order of actions

Really? Don't change the order? you mean I shouldn't fry the chicken before dipping it in bread crumbs? I shouldn't dip it in breadcrumbs before the egg? Maybe I might serve it hot and crispy before frying it?

It definitely gave me a laugh

I think this book, Cooking For Dummies, might be in order for the person who requires that note...
