Jewish Jordan Farmar Making Aliyah To Play Basketball In Israel

With former Los Angeles Lakers star, and current New Jersey nets star (but who cares about the Nets?), Jordan Farmar signing a contract to play with Maccabi Tel Aviv for the duration of the lockout, one must wonder if he will be able to "finish the month" playing for an Israeli salary.

Will we see Farmar joining the tent protests, now that he is making aliyah to play ball? Will Farmar be on one of the upcoming Nefesh B'Nefesh flights of olim landing in Israel?

Jordan Farmar is Jewish, and his step-father lives in Tel Aviv.

His contract will have a special clause allowing him to return to the NBA and the Nets if and when the NBA lockout is lifted.
