Interesting Psak: Move Out Of Secular Neighborhood

Kikar is reporting on an interesting question and psak, or just call it a response, that was brought before Rav Shteinman.

An avreich went to Rav Shteinman with a question about what might be preventing he and his wife from having children. He considered there might be something wrong with the apartment, something somehow connected to it, as the previous couple that had lived there also had trouble having children yet after they moved they were successful in their efforts.

Rav Shteinman reportedly responded rejecting the idea that there was something wrong with the apartment that would cause this. He said that people sin and the apartment did not sin.

Upon continuing the discussion the avreich revealed and asked further that he lives in an area that is more secular, and perhaps that is a reason to move. To this Rav SHteinman reportedly responded that if there is pritzus, immodesty, and one cannot be careful to avoid it, then one would stumble with sins. That is truly a good reason to move apartments.
