Israeli Changes Name To Mark Zukerberg To Avoid Lawsuit

And talking about crazy stories...this one is a real winner:

Basically, a guy has a company selling "LIKES" on Facebook to people and companies who want to boost popularity of their posts. facebook is trying to shut him down. In response, he changed his name to "Mark Zukerberg" so that they would be too hesitant to generate headlines stating that Facebook is suing Mark Sukerberg. Of course this guy is Israeli...

That is too rich!
Israeli man changes his name to Mark Zuckerberg

Israeli entrepreneur Rotem Guez said he has legally changed his name to that of Facebook's CEO, a gimmick meant to persuade the social networking site to back down from what he says are threats to take legal action against him.

He's telling Facebook: "If you want to sue me, you're going to have to sue Mark Zuckerberg."

He said a lawyer for Facebook pressed him this week to close his online business Like Store, calling it illegal. Like Store promises to enhance companies' online reputations by offering Facebook users free content only accessible by clicking "like" on the companies' profiles.

The Israeli acknowledged on Saturday his company violates Facebook's terms of use, but said many U.S. companies offer similar services.

  1. It's not the crime, it's the cover-up that causes the real problems.
