President Obama Speaks at the 71st General Assembly of the Union for Reform Judaism

This has been dubbed Obama's "most Jewish speech" since taking office...

  1. I wonder how many in the audience were actually taught the meaning of "hineni" by the President...

...or how many in the audience cringed when he botched "Tikun Olam" twice

  3. Are there no right wing/Republican reform Jews? I didn't realise that Reform was all that Zionist in the first place.
Wow, what applause, I wondered where I heard it before? Then I remembered, when Obama gave his famous Cairo speech, there was such applause, and we know what happened there.
Did this conference take place on Friday night, and was all this "Kabalat Shabbat"?
