    I missed this story - why is a new sefer Torah being written for El Al?

    I dont know the story behind it. The PM's twitter account posted the picture today online.
    Even not knowing the story, the image of the national airline (even though it no longer has that official status) needing a torah, and the prime minister writing a letter in said torah, is a unique idea.

    I am told it is not a pencil, but is a special quill made with a plastic holder (designed I guess like a pencil) for comfort. you can look closely at the tip and you will see it does not look like a pencil
