Good comeback, but this is where national zionism fails and still misses the mark. Rav Shmuel Eliyahu on Arutz7 is demanding an apology from Shas for the insults.
The messages came directly from Maran Yosef, not Shas politicians. If anyone in the national-religious realm really cares about real religious unity, they would request a meeting with Rav Ovadia Yosef. It is really pathetic that the rabbis do not meet publicly to show unity. It is actually quite ridiculous that they don't and it takes a lot of back room organizing to arrange something like that. So it is no wonder that the politicians, and then us regualr folks, feel so free to bash each other. Josh
