This pashkevil has bene placed in haredi neighborhoods in Jerusalem...
It says "Chardak - Chareidi Kal Daat, (meaning: Chareidi light-minded) I started doing civil service and in the end I lost my identity" In other words its saying that if you force us to the army we will lose our identity.
Interesting that it is not the classic design of the classic pashkevil. This is in full color, using Israel's white and blue motif, with images and a witty theme rather than the classic black and white full text condemnation...

You missed חרק (insect - see the knitted, like a kippah, insect at the top left) and חיידק טורף http://he.wikipedia.org/wiki/%D7%94%D7%97%D7%99%D7%99%D7%93%D7%A7_%D7%94%D7%98%D7%95%D7%A8%D7%A3
ReplyDeletethanks. I spotted the bug but didnt pick up on that nuance
ReplyDeleteI find this to be one of the more reprehensible ads that I have seen in a long, long time.
ReplyDeleteYeah, but at least they're not being divisive or causing a split in the nation.
DeleteWow, those draft-dodgers sure have a lot of time on their hands. Or maybe a good amount of spare cash to hire more educated people to make those signs.
ReplyDeleteYou got to admit as well that this raises the bar on pashkevilim - full colour and also horizontally oriented. It seems that the Haredim who went to learn are applying their graphics software.
