Jerusalem is a "city of peace" and it is important that everyone will live in Jerusalem in peace and harmony. From Zion must come forth the Torah of peace, between us and our neighbors, and between us and ourselves. We need peace mostly for ourselves... In Jerusalem there is a seriously discourse of hatred between haredim and secular. The haredim have kept the Torah that has protected our unity since the exodus from Egypt. But I also have what to say to the haredim. The Yissachar-Zevulun agreement by which the wealthy support those who learn Torah cannot function today in the small country of Israel. You too must do some soul searching. The time has come for all of us to be able to live together. On Jerusalem Day I call upon all of us to be more patient, so that Jerusalem will be a city of peace and harmony.
