But before you buy into anyone else 's ideas, look around and think for yourself - what do YOU think needs to be attended to by the next mayor and city council?
Over 100 Beit Shemesh (including RBS) residents (not politicians) have spent the past two months brainstorming on various city-life topics, at the request of mayoral candidate Eli Cohen. The topics include:
- sanitation
- city maintenance
- education
- our multi-cultural city
- new neighborhoods
- transportation
- infrastructure
- education
- youth and kids at risk
Everyone is invited to hear what residents feel the issues are, and ask you to give us your feedback.
Eshkol Payis in Bet Shemesh, Sunday, Rosh Hodesh Tammuz from 7:30pm..
Let's say he does get elected, and I hope he does. Nonetheless he still has to make a coalition with the Charedi parties who are probably going to be the majority, and they may well veto any real progress that will be made in Beit Shemesh or demand funding for their concerns at the expense of other causes.
