Hungarian prosecutors charged a 98 year old man for his part in sending Jews to Auschwitz in WWII. This Nazi topped the Wiesenthal list of wanted Nazis.
In 1948, Laszlo Csatary was found guilty and convicted to death sentence, in abstentia. He ran and spent the next decades in hiding. He was captured by Hungarian police last year. Since then his sentence was commuted from death to life in prison.
