Badatz calls for prayers for rain

This winter has been a bit strange. It started off with a dry spell, and eventually led for a call for saying the prayer (Aneinu) for rain. Shortly after that, we have a freak storm with record levels of rain, cold and even snow. And since that freak storm it has been dry and warm again with January set to become the driest winter month in Israel's history...

In light of the recent dry spell, the Badatz has renewed calls for people to say the aneinu prayer for rain. In their call, they point to 40 days of no rain and it being a dangerous situation for the produce..
