After holding a formal engagement ceremony in Bnei Brak this past Saturday, a young ultra-Orthodox Israeli man finds what may be the most unexpected and unromantic place to symbolically propose to his fiancé — again.
27-year-old Berale Yackobovitz takes his intended, Margalit Shmilovich, to the border with the Gaza Strip, and with the help of soldiers who had prepared a sign, gets down on bended (RG: is "bended" really a word? shouldnt it say "bent" or somethign else entirely?) knee and asks for her hand in marriage for the second time.
Unsurprisingly, she says yes!
He should get points for creativity, at the very least.

This is mind-bogglingly idiotic. We are in the middle of a mini war in which innocent people are dying and this becomes fodder for engagement shtick?
ReplyDeleteOdd couple:
ReplyDeleteChassidic guy, girl in knee-length denim skirt, surrounded by soldiers wearing na-nach yarmulke. Sounds like a Purim spiel.
