I know all three of these rabbonim personally, and anything they say should be taken seriously - especially if they have convened a special beis din to deal with this issue... Rav Schwartz is formerly the av beis din of the RCA, Rav Feurst if the av beis din of the Agudah in Chicago, and Rav Cohen, a Lakewood musmach who heads probably the largest Orthodox shul in Chicago - that they formed a beis din together is something of note all on its own...
I guess it worked out for the best when my daughter was wait-listed for Chedvas and then didnt get in because they were over-booked...
update: The Israeli beis din has issued a decision, frumfollies breaks it all down...

Did you contact Rabbi Malinowitz? Considering that the letter has the caveat of "at this time," and they referred it to him, perhaps you should check if this is still in effect before publicizing it.
ReplyDeletethe letter from the Beis Din in Israel came out I cant post pictures here but its readily available
ReplyDeleteBattle of the Be is Dins here we go...
ReplyDeleteI personally vote for Israeli one. They know more about the sitch and they haven't been influenced by the high power gvirim in the states. Vhameivin yavin.
The Israeli one does not know more about the situation. The victims only gave their testimony to the Special Beis Din in Chicago. If you doubt that, you should call the Rabbis on the Israeli Beis Din and ask them yourself
DeleteIt should be noted that this is not a decision. Rabbi Meisels is still going to be proven innocent, this is just a temporary measure to ensure that Rabbi Meisels is not involved whilst these allegations are confirmed as lies spewed by a well connected family.
ReplyDeleteYonatan, I'm sorry buy you are completely and utterly delusional. Mr. Meisels ADMITTED, to Rabbi Fuerst what he did. Feel free to call him - his number is readily availible. The "well connected family" argument is a lie created by the Meisels groupies. If you really believe that the esteemed Rabbis of the Chicago Beis Din were swayed by money you are a true apikores.
DeleteChicago Dayan Rabbi Gedalia Dov Schwartz is a godol of the world and would never make a decision without very careful lthought.
DeleteCould be that the Chicago Beis Din is more attuned to parents' halachic right to cancel without having to forfeit their deposits
ReplyDeleteThis is all lies I know for a fact firsthand and he was asked to step down bec he was too friendly and ppl with issues may miscontrue that MEISELS IS INNOCENT
ReplyDeleteI know all stories first hand rabbi meisels is innocent he was brought down to court by a clinicaly crazy person whos from a well connected family .hes just to friendly to work with girls nothing so extreem. Everyone blew everything out of praportion.I know him I went to one of his seminarys!! !
ReplyDeleteAll the coments posted on line is total lashon hara
Add a period betwene meisels and thay
DeleteAre you saying Meisels was oiver nidah?
DeleteYou belong in the menses club
DeleteI have no idea whats true and what is not. but how do you know ALL the stories firsthand? how is that even possible - unless you are either meisels or all the victims?
DeleteThe Israeli Beit Din contradicted Chicago on whether to send kids to these sems. They did not exonerate Meisels. They clearly lay out their scope as limited to financial matters and administration. Nowhere does their text exonerate him. ReplyDeleteThey don't contradict; Chicago transferred the 'responsibility' to Israel jurisdiction. In the meantime recommended until the Israel Beis Din convenes to refrain 'at this time' from registering. Now that Israel has issued it's recommendations, and attest to their fulfillment, there is no longer a concern to register; as is evident from the Israel Beis Din ruling on the matter.
DeleteAs far as what whoever did or didn't do, the Israel Beis Din states it will deliberate on the matter within days.
Rafi, thank you very much for posting this. We have a relative who was going to attend one of the above seminaries this coming year, and we sent this to her parents. They are getting in touch with Rabbi Feurst from Chicago.
ReplyDeleteAssisting people in search of a safe seminary while relying on internet gossip! Good luck anon! you're gonna need it
Deleteyou lost me when you said 'froomfollies breaks it all down'...
ReplyDeleteyeah just another troller.
DeleteThe Chicago Beis Din still strongly recommends against going. They are not hiding. Anyone can call them, like we did. I have spoken to a close friend who is close with the seminary and he insists that it is all one person with daddy issues and she got friends to testify. Think how unlikely it is, that a vindictive person would get friends to go along with this. People who meet him are mesmerized with him.
