The thing I am really worried about this, and I think that BY getting a boost in seats this time is a possible scenario, is that Bennet et all is simply not ready, and the past two years have merely reinforced this perception. I do not know if I want to spend a couple of years hearing and feeling their mistakes, and we can only expect that their lineup will be replaced somewhat with more rookies. Knesset politics needs to be learned in person and it takes time, especially if the candidates have no political science experience. Lapid was an idiot for wanting to be PM before his first month in office, and now Bennet is talking similarly.
I agree. he needs more time. he played an important role in the last government, but he needs more time and experience. he needs to be more involved in defense issues, more directly in the finance issues, more in education.. you cannot just wake up one day and become prime minister, no matter how competent you are. He does seem to have the potential for some point in the future. Maybe in the elections after these (which also might be too soon, despite the reality).

ReplyDeleteDoes the ruling party really want to have people like this talking about their friends like this?
