reality show comes to the Likud election list (video)

Netanyahu is turning to the public for suggestions as to whom he should offer the two reserved places in the Likud list for the upcoming elections..
I don't know what I think of this.. Is it a brilliant move to get the public more involved and invested, thus increasing the chances that people will vote Likud, as they will feel they are part of the process? Or, is it a desperate move to fill slots nobody wants?
