  1. A truly sad occurrence. A yeshiva that produced students with good foundations (as the name intended), and a good melding of learning and culture as adapted by each one. The little I saw of the yeshiva's results was truly excellent and admirable. I guess the world doesn't recognize the need for an English speaking yeshiva with such a good balance.

    1. I meant to add that this can be really hard for some of the students/former students. For those who stayed there more than a year, a yeshiva becomes a linch pin in their personality. I still think back almost daily to the institutions and rabbanim I learned from more than 30 years ago. There would be a real void in my memories and life if one of them closed down.
