Does he have another passport? I inquired about attending an emergency medicine conference there a few years ago; and they said I couldn't enter the country because I have an Israeli passport.
as far as I know he is a US citizen in addition to being Israeli. it looks like someone important there wanted to bring him in, so they probably found a way
