Ministry of Education wants changes to your kids birthday parties

The Ministry of Education is once again getting involved in the students diets.

It is not all bad, as the kindergartens do give out too much candy, and it would be nice to have it balanced with less candy and some healthier foods.

The Ministry of Education is now recommending that all birthday parties held in gans, kindergartens, be healthier.

They are recommending that less sweets  and more healthy food should be served at birthday parties. As part of the recommendation they also stress the importance of placing the child at the center of the event and the food and sweets in a less central role.

Health is important. I don't think they should be so involved and controlling though. Let the parents take some responsibility.
