    What? So Obama says the real reason they signed a treaty wasn't to actually accomplish anything with it, but rather to avoid being obligated to go to war against Iran?! No end to this madness.

    The issue of whether he paid or got permission to use the music stands but setting Jewish lyrics to non-Jewish music is very old. A number of very beloved zmeirot have sources of that sort and certainly many tunes used in liturgy have non-Jewish sources. Why this more than any other one?
