Proposed Law: time to renew Haredi school licenses

MK Yisroel Eichler (UTJ) has proposed a law that seems very reasonable to me...

Eichler's proposal is to deal with a situation in which heads of Haredi schools need to reregister for an operating license every year. According to Eichler's proposal, the school license will go up to being valid for a period of 5 years, and the process will allow for immediate renewal unless there is a good reason to cancel the license at that point.

I never heard of this before but it seems that while general State-schools have no need to renew their licenses ever, in the Haredi and private systems they need to renew the license every year.

While I understand why a state school would not need to but a private school would be required to renew its operating license, it seems unreasonable to limit the license to one year at a time. That means the administration will be spending too much time dealing with bureaucracy in renewing the license too often.
