I just don't get why he is dressed like a Litvishe Ashkenazi Jew, but I guess to each his own.
If they aspire to be a part of the Litvishe Ashkenazi community, why do they need their own Chief Rabbi?

I don't know why the need for a "chief" rabbi, but in terms of the European getup, that's what one need to in order to be accepted.
