    He didn't forget his base, he's courting the Charedi parties as potential future coalition partners, and maybe trying to take a few voters from Shas.

    If he lost any of his core voters, they will go to Meretz who would join a Labour-led coalition anyway, so it wouldn't hurt his chances of ousting Bibi (although he is delusional if he thinks that he could really oust Bibi - but it is hois job to try....)
