I am not sure quite what to think about this.
On the one hand, these are not the constituents of UTJ, though maybe some of them are the constituents of Shas, so I cant see anybody caring too much. Perhaps they should be petitioning the Likud or whatever party they think represents them most in general and get them to fight on their behalf. And why just petition Shas and UTJ and not Habayit Hayehudi, also a religious party that should fight for less desecration of Shabbos? Maybe they should petition Kachlon of the Finance Ministry or Shaked of the Justice Ministry to fight for them being forced to work on Shabbos against their wishes?
On the other hand, regardless of who represents whom, and regardless of with which party one is or is not affiliated, shouldn't the MKs claiming to fight for the honor of Shabbos care about those who wish to observe it better, or at least desecrate it less?
On the third hand, the Haredi parties did not really have a choice in this matter. Of course they could have pulled out of the government over this, but they have not said they would and they have the right to determine what issues are important enough to warrant that and what issues are not.
