Mayor Moshe Abutbol calls on extremists to leave city

in light of the stoning attack today in RBS B against a car driving through with a soldier in uniform, the mayor, who is out of town currently, has put out a declaration through "his people", and it is important enough that I have decided to bring it here and translate it:
It is upsetting that there are residents so extreme. I am repeating my call from the ceremony on Memorial Day to those extremists, to leave the city. They are not compatible with the unity needed in bet Shemesh.
I denounce them in both the name of the law and in the name of the Jewish halcha.
I have said similarly at the dedication ceremony of the Yad lBanim home that I established to memorialize the fallen soldiers, hy"d.
I call upon the police and the legal authorities to identify the perpetrator and to punish him to the full extent of the law.
One who raises his hand against a fellow Jew is called a wicked person

  1. Is this the same mayor who said on national radio (regarding the infamous tznius signs) that the haredim can do what they like in their private neighbourhood...? I guess they took him at his word
