People are, obviously, upset about this. Some, such as Betzalel Smotrich from Habayit Hayehudi, have quickly condemned it.
I just don't understand how they can even say such a thing and expect people to believe it, as bad as the message might be. Habayit Hayehudi and the Haredi parties work very closely together, especially in the national political sphere but also in most municipal spheres. Habayit Hayehudi will limit Haredi power and influence? Ha!
I am also not sure what their marketing people, nor the party leaders that approved it, were thinking. Did they think this would go over well? Did they think this message would not bring in sharp criticism and a negative reaction? What were they thinking?
