Quote of the Day

I wish I could share everything I know, but regarding the security of Israel, there is more hidden and secret than what can be revealed. Our enemies begged us for a cease fire, and they know why. We will set the right conditions for the State of Israel and for our security.

-- Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, about the much criticized decision to come to a cease fire arrangement with Hamas and the other terror groups in Gaza

It is always easy to say things that cannot be verified (and Netanyahu is not the only one who does this). They begged for a cease fire, but I cant give you details. The vote in the security cabinet on the ceasefire was unanimous and the protocols will show that, but we cannot show you the protocols. I did not vote for the ceasefire, the one that was unanimously voted for....

  1. I totally understand that there are national security secrets that we don't want the enemy to know. But here Bibi explicitly says the already enemy knows what he is keeping hidden. The only one left in the dark is the public. Can someone explain that?

  2. I saw it worded in one paper as "cabinet ministers voted unanimously" = among the cabinet ministers there was a group that voted unanimously.

  3. Is the defense minister part of the "security cabinet"?
Then why did he resign over the issue?
    Obviously not unanimous
