On Yom HaShoah (Holocaust Remembrance Day), our people mourns millions whose lives were ended simply because they were Jews. More than ever, the pain and loss that this memorialization embodies feels tragically relevant, as the unspeakable events in San Diego and Pittsburgh reminded us all too recently that there are still those who seek our senseless destruction.
May our melody, our voices and the ancient words of Psalm 23 offer a sliver of comfort to all those who mourn, and a modicum of light into a world that feels so in need of it. This is dedicated to all those we have lost and to all who have lost someone.
