The insanity that is voting Netanyahu

Albert Einstein famously said "The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results".

When people won't even consider voting for anyone other than Benjamin Netanyahu because they imagine he is "Mr Security", expecting different results in his fifth term from the results we all experienced in the first 4 terms is insanity.

Netanyahu is a wizard at convincing people during elections that he is the right guy for the job, really the only choice, and somehow making them all forget that the other four non-election years they do nothing but complain about him. Netanyahu has done some great things for Israel, but his consistent method of dealing with Gaza upsets all the same people who say he is the only one who can deal with Gaza....

And no, I do not have the solution. I am not the prime minister and do not need to have the solution. Would any of the other politicians do any better? I do not know if they would be any more or less successful on this issue than Netanyahu has been, but the one thing we do know is that nobody is happy with the way Netanyahu has been dealing with it for four terms of office already. So maybe it is time to give someone else a chance? Maybe Likudniks should replace him as head of the party next time it comes to a vote? Maybe, if the Likud doesnt replace him, the general public should stop voting Likud, even if just as a protest vote?

  1. There's a decent chance Einstein never said that quote. It's also really, really stupid.

  2. I was going to ask why you think he didnt say it, but instead I did a google search and it seems to be a common theory as there is no proof he did say it. you learn something new every day
