Congratulations Knesset

Congratulations to all the newly elected Members of Knesset, future Prime Minister and future Ministers and Deputy Ministers. It looks, as of now (nothing is final until final numbers are released), as if PM Netanyahu might be close enough to a majority that he might be able to form a governing coalition and avoid a fourth round of elections.

May you all serve the people of Israel wisely and with integrity.

  1. This is all over as a "Netanyahu victory" but I don't understand how anything changed from last times. Even if Likud and friends end up with 60, aren't they still deadlocked unless they make a deal with Lieberman or Gantz?

  2. if it ends up with 60, chances are (expectedly) that he'll be able to get someone to flip form the other side, maybe orli Levi Abuksis, maybe someone else. If he gets less than 60 it becomes more difficult. people rely too much on exit polls that gave him a resounding victory. we have to wait and see what the final numbers will look like. Right now they are saying his bloc has 59, but counting the soldiers and other votes might push him up to 60 or even 61, but that is only a guess
