The truth is, a 2 day yomtov seems like no big deal right now, as since Corona began it has been something practically like a 75 day yomtov
2 day yomtov? Katan Aleinu!
Chag Sameach!

I didn't think about it.
ReplyDeleteI guess Eretz Yisroel and Chutz are going to be laining different parshas on shabbos, till we catch up.
I think most people would say that this is a good problem to have, considering that until now shuls werent laining anything at all from the torah for so many weeks!
ReplyDeleteNo big deal. We have one very year (Rosh Hashana)!
ReplyDeleteLOL, I actually love the two day yomtovs in Israel. It's hard to enjoy the first night because of the inherent stress to get ready, so the next night, there is none. We also usually prepare food ahead of time so not additional stress to cook for the second day. The country is shut down, no real 'news' happening.
ReplyDeleteIn contrast, 2nd day yomtov in the diaspora is a real pain. The world is moving on, and you feel you are missing out.
