tax cuts on goods to stimulate the economy

FYI - the government is trying to give a boost to the economy. To do that they are cutting taxes on many items, so that you, the consumer, will be encouraged to buy more now.

As reported on JPost, the tax cuts will be on products such as cell phones (15%), shoes, clothes, appliances, light bulbs, toys, cosmetics, glasses, and more. The expected value to the government of these cuts would have been 1.45 billion NIS.

In addition, the government has decided to extend unemployment benefits for an additional 35 days.

Basically, they are giving out more unemployment money so people can spend it on mobile phones and light bulbs..

ENJOY!
