aint gonna work on Saturday

David Schoen, one of the lead attorneys working for former President Donald Trump in his defense in the impeachment trial has requested consideration regarding his Shabbos observance.

Schoen is an Orthodox Jew and does not work on Shabbos. He sent a letter requesting that if the impeachment trial, intended to be running at full speed for a speedy trial, run past sundown on Friday night and on Saturday it be delayed until Sunday. He apologized for any inconvenience caused by this.

Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer said they would of course accommodate the request.

Smart move by Trump to get an Orthodox Jewish lawyer for this. This throws a wrench into their plans. They already almost definitely don't have a majority against him, and now this will mess with their speedy trial plans.

Even if Trump pays him double or triple his regular fee, Schoen aint gonna work on Saturday!
