A lot of people are still unsure about the vaccinations and are choosing to wait before getting jabbed. A lot of people are against the vaccinations and have no intention of getting jabbed, believing in some evil plot or some potential danger in the vaccinations.
In an effort to boost the numbers now and get as many people as possible vaccinated quickly, the Ministry of Health is looking for ways to incentivize people to get vaccinated now rather than later. One idea discussed today between the kupot cholim and the Health Ministry is to set a target date - anybody getting vaccinated before that date will receive the vaccinations for free, as has been the case until now. Anybody choosing to wait and only decides after the date to get vaccinated will have to pay 150-200nis for the COVID-19 vaccine.
Let people know it is free now and they'll have to pay later could work. Obviously it won't convince people antivaccine to get it now, but people who are choosing to wait and see or just not rush might decide to get it now for free rather than pay later.
