Sisera ran from his battle with the general Barak, back in biblical times, and came upon a tent. Yael, the occupier of the tent, seduced Sisera with wine and cheese and made him drowsy. When he fell asleep she killed him.
Yehudit, modeling herself after Yael, did similarly to the Syrian Greek general.
Two heroes of the Jewish nation in more ancient times.
Today we have a modern day Yael and Yehudit, and her name is Rachel from Ofakim.
Terrorists took over Rachel's house on Shabbos/Chag and were going to kill her and her husband. Rachel outwitted them. She knew her son would come with other soldiers and police and kill the terrorists, she just had to wait them out until her son could get there.
Rachel, on the spot, decided to create a relationship with her captors. She smiled at them, she offered them coffee and cake and fruit. She sweet talked them suggesting they rest after a long and difficult day. She bandaged them up a bit. She joked with them. They sat in her living room just a meter apart and chatted and ate. Eventually her son showed up as expected with the troops and killed the terrorists.
The quintessential Jewish mother. A modern day Yael and Yehudit.
Yael, Yehudit, and Rachel from Ofakim.
