-- United Nations Relief and Works Agency Commissioner General Philippe Lazzarini, to the news of several countries deciding to stop funding UNRWA considering its activities on behalf of Hamas and some of its employees actually being active members of Hamas who also participated in the October 7 massacre and holding hostages since
Lazzarini thinks saying their assistance coming to an end is a threat or a dire warning, but it is actually a blessed development considering their functioning as an arm/tool of Hamas

Simple enough. The UN organization that handles all the other refugees in the world can step in. If they are given UNWRA's budget, which I was shocked to discover is about half of the entire UN budget for only 5 million refugees at $ 1.63 billion for 2023. UNHCR' s budget by contrast in 2023 was only $110 million, I suspect they could do amazing things. Probably for ALL the refugees which is as of 2023 was 35.3 million refugees with a total of various categories of internally displaced people or people in need of protection (I suspect the internally displaced Israelis are NOT part of the count) coming to 110 million.
ReplyDeleteYou know how obvious UNRWA's corruption is? Canada cut off aid. Canada, the country that would find a way to fund Hamas (only their humantarian wing, of course) if they could.
