The mayoral runoff election in several cities around Israel is well underway. Best of luck to all the candidates. 

Whoever wins - just remember you are being elected to serve the people. Work your hardest to do good for the people living under your leadership and authority.

    Hah. Chareidi leaders make it very clear Chareidi mayors are there to serve the Chareidi public, and only the Chareidi public, after taking their orders from "the Gedolim". Good luck Beit Shemesh.
