There's an old, horrible psychological thinking problem: if I can't have it, no one can have it.
ReplyDeleteIt's what drives the so-called Palestinians. If they can't have 100% of Israel and have it Jew-free (except for the token NK's) then they'll sit in their refugee camps miserable.
And it's what drives the Chareidi leaders. Either they get all the blanket exemptions and string-free funding they demand or YOU'RE TRYING TO DESTROY US AND THE TORAH!
So you can have thoughtful discussions about what to do but just remember you're then going to approach people with the emotional maturity of a spoiled 14 year old.
