And who's the alternative? Washington's lap dog, Gantz? Lapid, the guy who signed over billions to Hezbollah?

    1. Worse than that, Lapid is very, very low on the intelligence end, and while Gantz may not be an idiot like him, he certainly hasn't had an *original* thought in a very long time.

But no, let's keep noticing that this esteemed blogger seems to think that Bibi is playing games with this war. I am far from an apologist for Bibi, but while that's a popular cliche among the Bibi-haters, it's still way, way too far.

I don't doubt that Bibi is playing games with the war because he knows that if he doesn't end it the right way, his career is over and his legacy is in tatters. He also knows that if he does end it the right way, he will be the hero who saved Israel from Hamas (hoping no one remembers that he enabled Hamas for 15 years) and he might have a chance to retire a champion.
But no, I certainly don't think Bibi wants harm to come to Israel to save his skin. He has spent his entire life transforming Israel from a second-world state into a premier world power. No one can doubt his love for the country. The issue is that he sees himself as the country.
