olmert post-gag order press conference (video)

A short while ago, the courts partially released the gag order on the case revolving around PM Ehud Olmert. The gag was pointless, as:
  1. Israel is a small country, and many people knew about Talansky as soon as the gag order was slapped on
  2. with the Internet and international media revealing the info, there was little point in keeping the gag on in Israel
So we know a little more now. The case involves bribes and money laundering to the tune of hundreds of thousands of dollars.

We still don't know too much, and I am willing to bet that the case still has some more surprises in store for us. There are a number of "rumors" floating around. They are described as rumors because of the gag order - nothing can be confirmed at this point, so they are rumors. Anyways, the next few days will definitely be interesting.

Olmert held a press conference in which he responded to the investigation with his version. He never handled any money, it was all for elections and he never took a penny for himself, blah blah blah. He tried passing the blame to his attorney Uri Messer (possibly going to be a state witness against Olmert in the case) by saying he was the one who always dealt with these things... he is nto resigning now but if Mazuz decides to order an indictment, he promises he will resign.

Here is the video of the press conference:
