kol hakavod

Most of the bonfires, generally arranged and managed by children, are left to burn down on their own. Everyone leaves when they have had enough. At the end, all that is left is some ash, a few burned out embers, and a bit of a mess, generally somewhere off to the side.

I saw one shul have their bonfire and then later, when I passed by again, actually cleaned up after themselves. They had two guys from the group sweeping away all the ash and dirty parts that remained loose.

This is something that you would not expect to see - so Kol Hakavod to the bonfire people who actually cleaned up after themselves!
