Picture of the Day (potd)

Deputy Health Minister Yaakov Litzman went yesterday to get vaccinated against the Swine Flu. The guy in the background of the picture (the guy getting vaccinated is an assistant of Litzman) looks like he probably regrets coming to work so tired yesterday, as his yawning has now been recorded for posterity.

    To me he looks like he's howling in pain over the shot he just got.

    I understand that you only posted this piece of non-news due to the funny picture (as the POTD).

    But why was this news? Why is it newsworthy that a man got a flu shot? Is there a lack of real news to report? Who the heck cares about Litzman and his flu shot?

    anon - it was news because last week it had been revealed that while the Health Ministry was recommending everyone run and get the vaccination, Litzman himself had not. So he said he would do it this week at a press conference.

    It is as newsworthy as half the stuff they announce in the news... good for a slow day
